Landing Page Design For Google Score

This has been a misconception. Some people think that a landing page design is the only criteria to get a good quality score and not get slapped by google. The thing is, quality content still stands tall against all criteria. The only importance of landing page design is to stimulate the visitors. That is, to invoke the people to make a purchase, fill up a form, enter their email or try the product.

It all depends on the webmaster if the site will be slapped. A thin affiliate site will most likely be slapped in a few days even if the design is really top notch.

If you are on a tight budget and still iffy to make an affiliate website, why not focus on the content of your site first and buy review site templates to test out different offers?

The Pros and Cons of Using Free Review Site Templates

The Pros and Cons of Using Free Review Site Templates

There's just no doubt about it – review sites are fast becoming the internet marketers' best friend! Why? It's because using review sites effectively can definitely bring in some serious money. Review sites simply have a certain charm that can make customers reach out for their wallets and credit cards again and again! Knowing that, are you now ready to jump in and take advantage of this booming business?

Starting from Scratch, or Not?
Okay, so you've decided that you're going to get in the product and/or service review business. You know that there are a lot of potentials in this business model and you're willing to make an effort to make it work. You've done your research, chosen your niche and know that it really is a diamond in the rough – full of high-converting products and services. Needless to say, you're now ready to make your review site.

But why are you staring blankly at your computer screen? You simply can't start. You're thinking that there's something amiss. Creepers! You don't know how to design a website! And to make matters worse, you either don't have to time to learn all about making one up now, are technically-challenged, or doesn't have the money to hire a custom web page designer!

Does this describe you? Well, if it does, don't spend any more time worrying. There are free review site templates all over the web that you can use.

But let's admit it, nothing's perfect. Everything has its advantages and disadvantages, its pros and cons. And free review site templates are no exceptions. So, let's take a closer look at free website templates, shall we?

The Pros of Using Free Templates
The best thing about free review site templates is the cost – they're free! Or at least, it will only cost you around $50 for a good-looking, professionally designed website. Considering the cost of custom designed websites which may range anywhere from a few hundreds to a few thousand dollars, this is a sweet deal indeed!

A lot of web hosting companies and professional web designers are offering these templates completely free of charge. If you're thinking that there may be a catch, well, they may or may not be one.

Some web hosting companies just want to provide free templates as part of their service to their customers – sort of an attractive add-on and a sign of goodwill to build better customer relations. In the case of web designers, however, they may be offering these free templates for one of these three reasons:
1. To introduce you to their work
2. To sell you additional services such as site development or customization
3. To capture your contact information in case they will be promoting something of relevance
However, be forewarned that free doesn't necessarily mean that it doesn't cost anything. Some "free" templates may be absolutely free of charge but some may require attribution (as in the case of those published under Creative Commons) while others may require that you put a link back to the template provider's site.

Free templates are easy to use. You just unpack the files to where you want to save it in your hard drive, upload the HTML directory into your domain, and customize your chosen template any way you want it! Saves you a lot of time and diminishes the learning curve, too, right?

If you're thinking that free templates may be too amateurish-looking, think again! These templates come in various designs and color schemes that will suit your individual purposes. And some of them are very professional-looking, too! You just need to spend a little more time researching but it can be well worth every minute of it.

And Now, for the Cons
Free templates offer a lot of benefits and we've covered some of them here. However, there may also be some disadvantages in using them. Here are some of the most common ones:
* Your site may not look unique. How many times have you seen two or more websites having the same layout (sometimes even down to the fonts and logos used)? That may be because these sites used ready-made templates and haven't taken the time and effort to change anything.
* Some templates incorporate a lot of images resulting in a slow-loading website. You should avoid these kinds of templates or you'll lose your audience as well.

So, if you're planning to use free templates in putting up a review site, take these things into consideration. Weigh the pros and cons and decide if you'll be fine using them.

Optimal Landing Page Design

First of all, you might be wondering what are landing page designs because there seems to be a lot of discussions these days about landing pages. If you are new to the notion, you are probably asking yourselves what they are, and what makes them different from any other pages on your site. Well wonder no more, because we have the answer to your questions about landing page design.

A landing page is just what it sounds like; it’s the page your website visitors arrive at after clicking on a link. It could be your home page, or any other page in your site. Your landing pages should provide a customized sales pitch for the visitor. The best way to do this is consider where the person has come from, and who they are. Well crafted landing pages almost always sport better conversion rates than simply dumping people into the home page of your site. They arrive and spend a couple seconds before giving up and hitting their back button to move on to you competitor. Give the same visitors exactly what they were looking for and you will have a captive audience. Be careful not to provide too many distractions in the form of links, or you are likely to lose them before they read your entire message. Here are some designing good landing pages tips.
Relevance of the Content

Your landing page content must be relevant to what people were looking for when they applied the click through. The closer the match is the higher the chances of conversion.

Make a Landing Page with Good Scan-ability

Internet visitors are not thorough readers. They usually scan your webpage quickly for information that will benefit them, so make sure that your titles and subheadings call your visitors attention. Bulleted lists are more preferable than long and tedious paragraphs.

Get straight to the point

A landing page is a highly customized marketing copy for your product or service or affiliate product or service. Don't distract your visitors with advertisements, links to other web pages. Don't let your visitors wade through a whole bunch of hush posh before they get to want they want.
Focus

Dedicate one landing page to only one product or service. Don't try to promote multiple products (unless they are of the same product group) or services on one page. Create separate landing pages and campaigns if you have multiple products or services to promote. Focus on one product or one product group on each landing page.

Create a Call-to-Action That Stands Out.

Calling your readers to action means getting them to sign up for newsletters or to purchase the product and services that you offer. Tell your visitors what you want them to do. Buy now, click here to download, fill in name and email address to subscribe or whatever. Keep all call to action text in bold.
Graphics and Images

Keep in mind that for direct marketing it's the words that sell. Graphics and images serve only to enhance your text communication, not cloud it.
Proofreading Your Design

Check through your text and correct all grammatical and spelling errors. Otherwise it gives your website visitors a negative impression of you and the company you represent. Once visitors have a negative
impression, it becomes difficult to convince them of the product or service that you are promoting. First impression counts a lot.

Write in second person
Use the words like you and your to give emphasis to what your readers can benefit from your products or services. In this way, you can make your visitors feel that your priority is to meet their needs.
A good landing web page has a magic spell of its own as it turn mere readers into buyers. You need a whole lot of careful effort in analyzing and testing your landing pages so that it will be easy for your prospect buyers to navigate them. A good landing page will always give good conversion rate as compared to a poor one. We hope that the explanations and the tips that we gave you in this article helped you on how you are going to work with your landing page designs.
